Born and raised just outside of Chicago, Jorie Bandauski began designing and producing handmade jewelry when she was in her early teens. Jorie had been passionate about design for as long as she could remember so when presented with the opportunity to study at the Fashion Institute of Technology, she eagerly packed her bags and moved to New York City.
Jorie would go on to earn an Associate Degree in Fashion Design at FIT and later a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Polimoda in Florence, Italy. Having lived in both New York and Italy, Bandauski spent her most impressionable years thoroughly submerged in the fashion world: she worked for Barami and Demetrios Bridal and apprenticed under European designers Mauro Taliani and Pierre Gerrudi. Jorie also enjoyed the honor or presenting a collection to the Aristocratic Corsini family.
Upon returning to the States, Bandauski drew on both her formal education and practical real-world design experience and found her creative outlet in the film industry, where she worked as a costumer/stylist on projects such as The Biggest Loser, HBO’s Recount, Disney Channel Games, Glee the Musical and Orson’s Shadow.
Although she found her career in Hollywood to be fulfilling, Jorie never stopped designing jewelry in whatever little spare time that she had. Over nearly a decade, Bandauski had created many dozen unique pieces for herself that would regularly receive favorable recognition from friends, family and coworkers. At the encouragement of those around her, Jorie began to leverage her extensive network across both New York and Los Angeles and shortly thereafter her jewelry could be frequently spotted on the small screen, red carpets, magazine covers and the like. Her label, recognized for its contemporary luxe aesthetic of costume and fine jewelry had been born: JORIE BREONN.
Soon thereafter Jorie teamed up with fashion designer Wesley Nault and the pair collaborated to create the first of many collections that they would present during New York Fashion Week 2011 and in ensuing years.
Among others, her jewelry has been worn by royalty, host of E! News Ashlan Gorse, style guru Jeannie Mai, Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale, Real Housewives of Miami’s Joanna Krupa, Days of Our Lives actress Alison Sweeney and The X Factor musical artist Tora Woloshin. JORIE BREONN pieces have also appeared on the covers of Maxim, Ladies’ Home Journal, Teen Prom, Linger and Tantalum magazines and was featured on the popular wedding blog 100 Layer Cake.
Jorie now focuses on building the JORIE BREONN brand full-time. With a rapidly expanding following on social media and ever-growing roster of retail partners, JORIE BREONN represents an established, yet up-and-coming brand - a juxtaposition that renders Bandauski’s signature truly unique.
